Microphone Permissions
If your browser is blocking microphone access, you’ll see "Microphone access is blocked" on the Ready, set, record screen and the Start Recording button will be disabled.
Chrome
- Click the lock icon in the address bar.
- Set Microphone to Allow.
- Refresh the page.
Safari
- Go to Safari > Settings for This Website.
- Set Microphone to Allow.
- Refresh the page.
Still not working?
- Close other apps using your microphone (Zoom, FaceTime, etc.).
- Restart your browser — not just the tab.
- Check system settings. On Mac: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone — confirm your browser is listed and enabled.
If recording still won’t start, email hello@nessoapp.com with your browser name and version.
